elise helping out...SO, my children are addicted to strawberries. which makes this time of year the most favorite time of year for them. when strawberries were on sale at the organic market and i bought six pounds of them, they were gone in two days. oh, and the mister and i didn't get any of them. that's just how much my kids love them. so, in order to provide a fix to my little addicts and still remain on budget for our food for the month, {we go and pick our own}.
freshly picked...monday morning we ventured out and picked a whopping 24 pounds of strawberries. everyone helped out including wesley, who mostly ate every strawberry he could find. including the green ones! both elise and michelle were experts at finding the perfect strawberry, and i must say i was pretty impressed at the shear amount of gorgeous gems we scored.
the mister washed them up and we froze half and kept half fresh. most of the fresh are gone already (big surprise) and i'm hoping to hold those last ones out for a little while longer for elise's birthday. here's hoping....
