SO, mattel waited a whopping six months before putting out a new mind-numbing barbie movie. while i do love the {TRADITION} of doing something fun with my girls, i wish it was more along the lines of not wanting to stick things in my eyeballs and ears while doing it. whatever.
we got up early, did our errands, chores and i let the girls invite some friends over this time to watch it with us. and when i say "watch it with us." i mean them eating white chocolate popcorn, watching the movie while i was in the kitchen making enchiladas kinda hearing the story line. it seems that this time barbies dilemma is... wait for it... being fired from her acting job and getting dumped by her boyfriend via phone call. uh, yeah. so what's barbie to do? why go to paris of course. (that's the first thing I would think of too. naturally.) sigh. i swear, just when i think mattel can't get anymore ridiculous they go and out do themselves. gooooooo mattel! oh, and it gets better. somehow fairies are involved. i really didn't understand that part since i was only hearing it, but what? how the heck do fairies need to be part of this movie?
whatever.....
the girls loved it though. (of course) and i'm glad that they had such a great time with their friends. but i'm really serious when i plead er, ask you mattel, PLEASE wait a YEAR before putting out another nonsensical, absurd, daff movie. okay? OKAY?!
