SO, besides {persuasion}, my other favorite book is {jane eyre}. i have seen so many versions and read it many times, so when this came out i was excited/scared. excited because i love me some jane eyre. scared because it could be really really bad. turns out that is was really good. so good that i would probably buy it. and even though i knew what the crazy ass ghost was, i still was a bit freaked out. to me, that's a job well done. it won't however, ever be able to pass up {my absolute favorite version done in 2007.} you can't beat masterpiece theater. (okay, maybe sometimes you can)
i know that the characters are supposed to be plain, homely even but why oh why do they always have to make rochester so dang ugly? in every.single.version. i don't see him ugly at all when i read the book. sigh. so i was disappointed once again to have a not very attractive edward. but then i looked him up on google and when you see pics like this
or this
well, HELLO. why couldn't he look this hot in the movie? sigh. oh well.
SO, i loved loved loved this movie. it was very well done and brought a part of history that i don't think many people know about. i sure didn't know half the stuff that happened when lincoln died. in my ignorant state (thank you very much high school history) i thought all ended once booth was shot. seems i was really really wrong. every american should see this movie. truly. see it.
