make the banging stop! oh wait, they're supposed to be doing that?

SO, last thursday elise had her fifth grade concert.  the entire grade had a concert of banging.  literally.  banging garbage cans, basket balls, upside down buckets and on and on.  it was lots and lots of banging.

because what parents doesn't want to listen to loud banging noise after a long day of.... loud banging noise?

most of the parents had the usual plastered on smiles and cameras in hand.  i just wished that i had brought in my ear plugs from the car.  it was forty-five long minutes of excruciating noise.

elise did have a speaking part, and she did quite well. she was out of all the kids, the only one you could understand.  (or maybe it's because i understand her from living with her)
other than that, it was what it was.  but elise was so very excited and proud, so that made me proud.

the joy of ten year old adolescence.

while waiting for the concert,  we played around with the camera.

wesley took this picture of me.  he was so excited to play with mommy's fancy camera.  i wish i looked better.  i didn't think he would actually get a picture out of it.

michelle had already watched the concert from earlier in the day, so she ended up running around in the back with her friend.  whatever.  i just don't care about corralling my kids anymore.
