Anger Management

i love my husband. i hate his job. we have prayed and prayed AND PRAYED but for some reason we have always been told that this will be his job. FOREVER! uhhhhh. most days i'm fine with this. most days i've accepted the Lord's request. but yesterday was NOT one of those days. yesterday i was so LIVID that i couldn't do much else for the remainder of the afternoon. (it was a good thing i was making bread at the time and was able to take out my frustration on the poor unsuspecting bread dough while kneading.) i know that the mister has never really wanted me to get involved in his office politics but yesterday i almost went against EVERYTHING and called up his boss to ripe him a new hole anywhere he likes. but i didn't. no, i REALLY wanted to. but i didn't. so now i will post what i REALLY wanted to say, just to make myself feel better. it would have gone something like this...

mr. ___________ (insert name of a really big jerk)
this is the mister's wife calling and i'm just letting you know that i will hold you responsible for anything that happens to my husband's back that would inhibit him from his recovery. and you BETTER have something for him to do this afternoon. because if you don't, i WILL go above your head and call the next chain in command to report just how unprofessional you have been during this whole process. i have never seen a boss be so out of line in making someone who just had BACK SURGERY work two 12-hours shifts back to back, and then claim he is milking the system by not coming to work. or that he needs to "make up days for the time he has had off"! and it is unprofessional for his co-workers to claim that he is pulling one over on the company and that this will hurt his career and THEN hang up on him. YOU, sir are not the one who has been taking care of him these past three months, nor have you seen him crawl onto the couch in pain because YOU made him go to a useless tour of a building he had no business being in!how dare you assume he is taking advantage of you. he should and better not have any negative reports issued to him for following the orders of his doctor! if his doctor says he can only work 4 hours, you better make him only work 4 hours. you are supposed to be looking out for him. THAT IS YOUR JOB! just know i will be watching you and will report you at any time. bye. (you big useless jerk who should get fired for being completely incompetent.- -i would have really wanted to say that, but never would because it's just too mean.)

in my perfect world he would never respond and i would just hang up on him. so, i need to work on my anger management. i never did call. and the mister is working two 12-hours shifts back to back. *sigh*.
