philadelphia...part 3

the mister and kids with the philly skyline

SO, this is the last post on our philadelphia trip. i swear. this trip was one of the best trips we've had yet and so i have enjoyed writing it down for memories sake.
our final day in philadelphia really wasn't in philly at all. it was across the river into new jersey. we went to the adventure aquarium since when we woke up that morning it had snowed! just thinking about wandering the snow covered streets just didn't seem to appealing to us and let me tell you, this was the best decision we could have made. the aquarium was absolutely phenomenal. we did pay a pretty penny to get it, but we were able to bring in our own packed lunches and stay for nearly 4 hours. there was just so much to do and see. we....

looked at A LOT of fish

saw A LOT of scary sharks

had the girls faces painted

touched more sea life then i would have
care to.
baby sharks, sting rays,
star fish, rock fish
and
jellyfish to name just a few.

searched for wild birds
that were
no where the be found
(scored a great photo of the kids though)

watched beautiful jellyfish
(i would LOVE a lava lamp made out of jellyfish)

spied some sea turtles

watched CRAZY scuba divers
in the water
with the sharks!

horrified my girls with a
video of
piranhas
eating different animals

and lots of
neon
tropical fish

we also saw penguins, sea lions and did a virtual shark cage show. we were all so worn out from this trip that all my children were asleep from the moment we got on the highway until we pulled in for dinner. what a great time! i hope to do many trips like this with the family all summer.
