on the first day of spring break...

even though we have been there

a million times before,
we still decided to
spend the day in the city.

we had a great time.
we traveled by train to the nations capital.
our adventures were...

walking past the white house...

seeing pretty cherry blossoms....

visiting the lincoln memorial....

admiring the washington memorial....

enjoying a picnic lunch under
a beautiful willow tree....

saw the jefferson memorial...

and enjoyed more cherry blossoms...

we were a bit burnt out on memorials so,
we decided to spend the rest of the day at the natural
history museum.
where we were educated on the likes of

dinosaurs...

taking pictures of dinosaurs...

and watching scientists look through rocks
for dinosaur bones...

did i mention that we did a lot of walking?
cause we did. A LOT.
i'm used to walking a lot but for some reason
my legs just didn't fair well this time around.
i have to shuffle to walk.
seriously.
