SO, i have a very unusual talent. a gift if you want to call it that. it is that i NEVER get a ticket. i have been pulled over more times than i would care to admit (it's more than a handful) and i have never gotten a ticket. it's always been either a verbal warning or a yellow slip warning but never a nasty money bill telling me that i am a horrible driver. no, the cops i have always had the privilege of being stopped by, have been nice, flirty men who either feel like a dad reprimanding their daughter or a young cop just trying to "be nice". so, how do i do it, you ask? how do i get out of said ticket? here's my secret. i own up. that's it. every time i get pulled over (except once) i am not paying attention to my speed or what ever it is i'm pulled over for, and i'm usually in a hurry. so, when the officer pulls me over, i rarely give them a chance to talk first. i start by saying i'm sorry, that i wasn't paying attention, that i was in a hurry to do what ever it was i was supposed to be doing and that i know that's no excuse, i should have been more diligent but that is what happened and i totally deserved to be pulled over, i'm so sorry. most of the time they don't know what to say except "give me your license and registration." after they check my record (which is clean) they let me go. the mister always rolls his eyes when i get home and tell him what happened.i was just pulled over today and once again left with a warning. i swear it's the best, most useful talent i've ever had. i just hope that my luck won't run out one day and that my talent will no longer be useful, oh and maybe i should start paying more attention to my speed and other such things. you know, just in case....
