all i must say is from the moment i started to read i was sucked in to the life of ninah. i laughed with her, ached for her, and i even cried for her (on the metro train no less). i've never had such an emotional connection to a book before but this story was just compelling. i loved it so much that i finished it in two days.
ninah is a girl growing up in a strictly religious compound. she faces many challenges trying to understand between how she feels about god and what she is taught in the compound about god. she finally finds her ground and comes to understand that god works in more ways then she is aware. such a thought provoking, heartaching book. i think everyone should read it.
