must share the awesomeness...

you see this smile? AMAZING!

1. the kids let me sleep until 9:45am.
2. the kids drank their water and ate their breakfast in quiet.
3. elise cleaned all the bathrooms WITHOUT a meltdown. in fact, she actually did them to perfection. THE. FIRST. TIME!
4. michelle did all her chores with fervor. and after she finished, she willingly and lovingly took her brother downstairs to play so that i could finish cleaning.
5. i was able to clean the house without ANY interruptions or meltdowns. WHAT?
6. listened to bruce campbell on npr and no one bothered me, thus letting me hear the piece in entirety. HOO HOO! (it was awesome by the way. you really missed out!)
7. the kids played for the rest of the day ever so kindly with their friends. elise even took wesley out to play with her friends for an hour and THEN took him downstairs to play with her friend for a full TWO HOURS where i didn't see them once. again, WHAT?
8. the kids cleaned up the basement without any argument and actually put everything away in the right place.
9. had a nice, calm meal without any fights or bickering.
10. enjoyed a lovely bath while my tired husband took the kids grocery shopping.
11. my plan of staggering the girls bed times seems to be working a treat. michelle goes to bed first where she immediately falls asleep because no one or anything is in her room. elise follows 30 minutes later where she too falls asleep without bother. yippee!!!!!
12. wesley is now trained to go to bed while still awake. he's a trooper without any crying. this alone is a huge sigh of relief!
13. a quiet, still happy happy house at the wonderful hour of 10pm.

could this be any better of a day? I THINK NOT!

***i will not question what possessed my children today. i just accept the awesomeness and relish in the happiness....****

now onto the best thought of the day:

"now behold, a marvelous work is about to come forth among the children of men.
therefore, o ye that embark in the service of God, see that ye serve him with all your heart, might, mind and strength, that ye may stand blameless before God at the last day.
therefore, if ye have desires to serve God ye are called to the work."
