SURPRISE!

SO, yesterday at about 4pm i received a call from my brother. it's been months since i last spoke with him and he was calling to tell me his family was going to be in the D.C. area thursday and thursday only. i of course dropped everything that i had planned and made the trip down for the day with michelle and wesley to spend it with them.

they drove a crazy 21 hours just to spend half the day at the capital to attend the healthcare protest. what? that's some serious dedication!

is was fun to see them again. it's been nearly two years now and a nephew i've never met. we only spent 3 hours together but that was better than nothing. michelle and her cousins sure had fun hanging out. it was like they hadn't been away from each other. i love that.

michelle was so sad to say goodbye. she would have ditched her sister any day to be able to stay with her cousins. (i won't tell elise that.) i have to say i was a little down trodden as well. hopefully it won't have to be another two years before we see each other again....
