princess party!

SO, michelle got a belle and tinker bell costume for easter. after that she pretty much had it in her head that we were going to have a princess party. every day she would talk about how we needed to plan and prepare for this party and i don't know if she was trying to pull one over on me but after so much talk about this party, i too began to think we were having one. so we did. it was yesterday and i have to tell you i was completely exhausted after it was over. this is what we did....

i used the same decorations as i used for the spring party
we had last year.

close up.
i think these are the cutest.
i'm so glad i made them.

elise made stuff to make princess crowns.
we also bought wands from the dollar section.

all the girls having lunch.
i didn't get a chance to take a picture of the food
since they devoured it before i got the chance.
i have to say that girls are PIGS!
they ate:
one and a half loaves of bread (i made three different kinds of sandwiches)
a serving bowl full of cherry tomatoes
half a serving bowl of carrots with ranch dressing
two apples
i even had to go and make MORE sandwiches because there
weren't enough.
holy cow!

for dessert
we had m&m's, york mints, cranberry-orange scones
brownies and sugar cookies with three different
frosting's for them to decorate with.
after each having two brownies and 4 cookies
(plus the candies and scones)
i had to rein them in. geesh.
like i said, PIGS!

we then made the princess crowns, danced to
disney music, and watched "the princess and the frog".
the smartest thing i did was paint their nails.
why?
because it forced them to hold still and
not move while their nails dried.

after that, i was ready for it to be over. and luckily it was. they all seemed to really have a great time which i'm grateful for but i'm so not doing that again for a while!
