how fast a week flies...

SO, a dear friend of mine came to visit me last weekend. i've known her for about 12 years and i went to visit her family down in tennessee over christmas. this time, she brought her sister-in-law and niece to play with the girls. her niece stayed with us the whole time and it was fun to have another girl around who could help out with wesley and the girls (she's 10). i wanted to have our days packed with activities but in the end we found ourselves just sitting and visiting with children running circles around us.

we did end up going to the butterfly exhibit that all the other mommy blogs have been talking about. it was really fun, we ended up spending most of our time in the japanese tea house watching the turtles and geese fight over food.

the rest of the weekend was spent eating. literally. having a bbq, eating pizza and enjoying a proper english dinner. i had so much fun with them. i just can't believe how fast it went. hopefully if we are still here christmas time, we will be making another trip to tennessee. here's to hoping...
