don't go back to rockville....
SO, i think R.E.M. was on to something there. today wesley and i went on an adventure to rockville. it's been nearly a year since i've traveled down there and i always seem to forget just how much traffic you have to endure in that city. it's kind of like when you have a baby. you forget how crappy labor is until your stuck once again in the middle of labor. that's rockville. but i digress...
i had to travel to the traffic laden city to get to a store so wonderful, so useful, just so awesome that i guess it made up for all the traffic lights i had to sit through. as wholefoods is my natural food mecca, the container store is my organizational mecca. i LOVE this store. i could and do spend hours looking at all the fun and useful ways that i can compose my home. today's mission was to find industrial buckets that were bpa free for food storage. not just any bucket, huge buckets for my flour and sugar storage. i've searched everywhere in my general living area to no avail. walmart had buckets, but they weren't bpa free and were meant for mixing paint, not storing food. i found food buckets online that were a cheap $2.99 but then you would have to pay $30.00 for shipping not to mention the minimum quantity you could purchase for said buckets was 25 (apparently these sites were for restaurant/stores...bummer). i finally found what i was looking for at the container store (hey, that rhymes.) these buckets were perfect and way over priced. i could only afford to buy one today. i'll have to save up and make my way down there again. suck. so for a 40 minute drive into rockville, another 20 minutes waiting in traffic to get to the store then 10 minutes to walk right in, find exactly what i was looking for, buy my item then spend another 20 minutes waiting in traffic to get out of rockville and 40 minutes to get home i'd say my day was a success. sigh. i'll just keep telling myself that.
