this lady!SO, i have always been fond of dolly parton.
i remember as a child watching her sing and being
just fascinated by her.
then i read an interview with her
when i was a teenager and i found her life amazing,
inspiring and her attitude spectacular.
she is quite the amazing woman.
but,
i have to say my favorite story from her goes something like this...
when she was little she lived in a really small town
and her family would rarely go into it.
on one of the rare visits dolly saw a women dressed up with
high, high heels, long nails painted red, high teased hair
and makeup makeup makeup.
dolly was mesmerized and she said to her mom
"mom, she's the prettiest woman i've ever seen!"
her mom replied
"oh, dolly that woman is trash."
so in dolly's young mind she thought...
"i want to grow up to be trash too!"
how hilarious is that? and what's even more funny?
she has the high high heels, the makeup and nails along with the hair.
man, if you're going to own it. you'd better own it.
and she does.
i can't wait until i can go to dollywood. it's been on my to do list for ages now!
