mover's concert...

SO, as you all remember (or not) my son's last birthday party was a {mover's} party.  we all pretty much LOVE the {imagination mover's} around here.  wesley loves their {show} their {music} their inventions.  yeah, they are cooler than the wiggles BY FAR.

one of wesley's presents was to go to their concert.  originally the concert was supposed to be march 2012.  i bought the tickets in october 2011.  then the concert got canceled and rescheduled for october 2012 because disney jr. wanted more time to promote the movers and their new cd.  as bummed as we were to have to wait, we still were excited to see them.  THEN the concert got canceled in october for not having sold enough tickets.  didn't help that the venue they were supposed to play at didn't advertise them coming.  sigh.  wesley cried and cried at the thought of not going.  especially after waiting a year to go.  a lot of us mover fans got in touch with the mover's themselves telling them how disappointed we were and that we understood their predicament but still were upset with the outcome.  with some scrambling on the imagination mover's part, they re-scheduled at a much smaller venue and held the concert anyway.  those amazing men didn't make ONE PENNY on that concert.  they did it because they love their fans.  that's how awesome these guys are.  makes me kinda teary eyed at how happy they made my son.  LOVE THEM.

anyway, wesley and i went to the concert just the two of us.  we had a lovely dinner of 7-11 hotdogs (don't ask) and enjoyed a very fun, highly energetic concert.  my son got to play rich's guitar, dance with dave and sing with scott.  so. much. fun.

we also got to meet them.  they have to be some of the nicest guys ever.  they gave us a private concert, snacks, pictures and signed posters.  we hung out with them for a couple hours and even closed the place down.  we would have stayed longer to chat with rich (about 'cabin in the woods' of all things) but the venue wanted to clean up.

we made the hour and a half drive home late that night full of memories that my son will remember for a long long time.  it was a really really great night.  and we have the movers to thank for it!  THANKS guys!
